Since the age of ten, I have been fascinated with taking pictures of the outdoors … but my journey in the arts began with design work of a different kind. In Foundation Classes, I learned design skills and eye for composition and it has translated into a career of capturing imagery that, I feel, reflects a unique take on whatever lies before the lens. My images of local vistas, iconic landmarks, and out-of-the-way locales are meager samples of the visual feast this area has spread before us.
Still life photography is another venue in which I find fascinating, bringing a new perspective to everyday items that make one pause and take a second look.

I am drawn to form, patterns, textures and unusual shapes. I like color and images that "Pop".

The study of painting and design has served me well, enabling me to create pleasing images that hold together as a composition. And I occasionally enhance my images with dramatic affect electronically…something I am exploring more.
